Production Operative (Trainee - Full training provided) Location: This role is based at Vetchberry Steels, Sapcote Trading Centre, Wyrley Rd, Birmingham B6 7BN. Please check you are able to commute to the site for the shifts before applying. Salary: £26,000 per annum Vacancy Type: Permanent - Full Time Hours: 38.5 hours per week. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or build a career in manufacturing, with full training provided on our cut-to-length steel processing machinery Key Responsibilities Operating and setting cut-to-length machinery (full training provided) Measuring and cutting metal to customer specifications Ensuring quality standards are met at all times Maintain production records and complete required documentation Operate Overhead crane when authorised and in accordance with Company training records Loading and unloading coils on a machine line safely Driving forklift trucks when authorised and in accordance with Company training records Ensure cleanliness of work areas Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area Reporting quality, damage, shortages and overages Maintaining all metal traceability systems Recycle metal scrap into correct bins.
