Production Operative

HOURS: 14 30 Monday Friday 37.5 hours /week PAY: £12.71 hour plus £4.00 / day shift bonus BENEFITS: Birthday holiday, free life assurance, free on-site parking, pension contribution, dental and optical contribution. JOB PURPOSE: Reporting to the Shift Supervisor the purpose of this role is to produce high quality product to customer specification in both a safe and timely manner. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Working on production lines you will complete various tasks including packing meals into boxes and palletising, hand weighing raw materials, using sealing and wrapping machines, feeding the line with trays and raw materials. Responsible for checking correct dates are shown, correct raw materials are being used, product quality, seals on trays etc. Assist with ensuring that the production plan is delivered on a daily basis. Ensure that all work instructions and procedures are followed. Some roles will require completion of paperwork. Ensure all waste is minimised. Maintain high housekeeping standards and clean as you go . Liaise with other departments where necessary to ensure that the business needs are met. Ensure that you understand, follow and observe the company Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP), particularly ensuring your area follows clean as you go . Ensure that you and any staff around you, observe relevant health and safety standards at all times, and stop/ escalate any occasions of unsafe practice.
