PRODUCTION OPERATIVE - Signage

Up to -30K (Depending on Experience) + Overtime (Time and a half for first 4 hours / Double time for all Saturday and Sunday hours)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (37.5 hours per week)

Holidays: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays

We are working on behalf of a well-established and growing signage company that is looking to recruit a versatile and adaptable Workshop Operative. This role is perfect for someone with a wide-ranging skill set and a proactive approach to workshop tasks. You''ll be involved in the hands-on fabrication of signage products, using a variety of materials such as metals, acrylics and wood. Experience with workshop machinery and a general aptitude for practical tasks is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a range of workshop machinery including: Guillotines / Panel saw / Cut-off saw / CNC router / Drills / Linishers / General hand tools.
• Work with various materials (metals, acrylics, woods) to produce high-quality signage products.
• Assist with assembly, finishing and installation preparation.
• Read and interpret job briefs and technical drawings.
• Maintain a clean, safe and efficient working environment.
• Work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Strong hands-on workshop experience.
• Competence using a variety of workshop tools and machinery.
• A flexible and adaptable attitude - able to switch between tasks and materials as required.
• Good understanding of health and safety in a workshop environment.
• Experience in signage fabrication is desirable but not essential - candidates from related fabrication or manufacturing backgrounds will also be considered.
• Ability to work to deadlines with strong attention to detail.
