Day-to-day of the role: Depending on the department, tasks may include: Wet lay-up formers and plasters using base materials and solvent-based adhesive, assembly work including inserting beaded inserts, fixing brackets, and metal details. Preparation of formers, operation of winding machines, and handling of materials through the production process. Sewing of inners on a round-arm sewing machine, cuffing, and joining various connectors using detailed drawings. Mixing and pouring plaster into moulds, dressing and waxing plasters before delivery to production flow lines. Cutting fibreglass panels, laying up panels using water-based adhesives, and finishing insulation panels.
