Production Operative / Delivery Driver
Location: Barnsley (S70)
Contract: Full Time, Temp - Permanent
Monday to Friday, 3am start 11am finish
£12.71 per hour.
About the RoleWe are looking for a Production Operative / Delivery Driver to join a busy and established bakery team.
This is a varied role that will primarily involve working within the production department, operating machinery and assisting in the manufacture of a range of baking products. You will play an important part in ensuring products are produced efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and safety.
In addition, there will be occasions where you will be required to provide cover for delivery drivers during periods of holiday or sickness absence. This secondary aspect of the role will involve loading vehicles, checking orders, and delivering products to customers.
Full training will be provided for both production and driving responsibilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Duties- Operating machinery to mix and produce a variety of bakery products.
- Assisting with the smooth running of production processes.
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.
- Working efficiently to meet production targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Following all health and safety procedures.
- Loading vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Checking customer orders prior to delivery.
- Delivering products to customers when required.
- Providing excellent customer service.
- Completing deliveries accurately and on time.
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, flexible, and willing to support different areas of the business.
- Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced production environment.
- Previous production, manufacturing, food production, or driving experience is desirable but not essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence required for the relief driving element of the role.
