Production Operative (PM Shift)

Gi Group is recruiting a Production Operative to join our client''s busy food production site in Scunthorpe (DN15). This is an excellent opportunity for a Production Operative who wants to make a direct impact on operations and product safety within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Rate of Pay for Production Operative: 13.33 per hour Production OperativeWorking Hours: 3pm - 11pm, Monday to Thursday (Friday 13:30 - 20:30)Key Responsibilities of a Production Operative: Operate production and packaging lines to meet daily output and quality targets. Follow SOPs and food safety procedures to ensure products are produced to required standards. Carry out basic machine set-up, start-up and shutdown checks, and report issues to supervisors. Monitor product quality (weights, seals, labels, visual checks) and remove/reject non-conforming items. Complete production paperwork, traceability records and downtime logs accurately. Support changeovers by replenishing materials, clearing lines and assisting with safe restart checks to minimise downtime. Maintain a clean and tidy work area, including "clean as you go" standards and waste disposal. Follow site rules on PPE, hygiene and contamination control, and escalate any safety concerns immediately.
