Job Title: Production Operative

Location: Bedford, Bedfordshire

Salary: £32,000 per annum

Shift: 4 on 4 off, Days and Nights

Job Role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Operative to join a well-established and successful manufacturing company based in Bedford. The successful Production Operative will be responsible for operating production machinery, monitoring manufacturing processes and ensuring products are manufactured to the highest quality standards. The company is looking for a reliable and hardworking individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Production Operative , Machine Operator or Process Operator within a manufacturing environment.

• Experience operating production machinery.

• Willingness to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern covering days and nights.

• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

• Operating and monitoring production machinery to ensure efficient manufacturing processes.

• Carrying out routine machine checks and identifying potential issues.

• Ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.

• Completing production paperwork and maintaining accurate records.

• Assisting with machine changeovers and basic adjustments.

• Reporting machinery faults and production issues to the relevant departments.

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised production environment.

• Working closely with engineering and production teams to minimise downtime.

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.

• Previous experience operating automated production machinery.

• Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

• Experience carrying out quality control checks.

• Good communication and organisational skills.
