About the Role
Pertemps Telford is currently seeking a Production Operative for a client in Telford. This full-time, permanent contract offers a salary of £12.84 per hour. The working pattern is 6-2 or 2-10 Monday to Thursday, with Friday shifts of 6-10 or 10-2, totalling 34 hours weekly. As a Plating Area Loader or Wet Area Operative, you will manage semi-automated lines to deposit copper onto Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs). Key duties include manually loading and unloading PCBs, overseeing automatic electroplating, and handling chemical tanks within wet areas. Candidates should possess prior experience in a manufacturing or production setting, with comfort performing chemical handling tasks. Attention to detail and reliability are essential for this role.

In this role, you will responsible for operating and maintaining Semi-automated plating lines to deposit a layer of copper onto PCBs (Printed Circuit Board )
The role involves managing chemical tanks (wet areas) to enhance components with copper.
Duties required as a Plating Area Loader / Wet area operative:
- Semi-automatic copper plating lines for adding copper to PCBs.
- Manual loading and unloading but automatic processing through an electroplated copper line.
- Some chemical handling required.
To be successful in this role, you must:
-Have experience in a manufacturing and/or production environment
-Be comfortable handling chemicals with appropriate PPE
-Willingness to learn plating processes and wet‑area operations
-Reliable, punctual and able to work independently once trained
-Basic understanding of machinery or automated equipment
