Job Title: Production Operative

Salary: £12.30-£12.70 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday

 

Pertemps Isle of Wight are recruiting for a Production Operative on behalf of our client based in Cowes. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company offering a hands-on role within a friendly and supportive team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the printing and personalisation of product components, ensuring quality standards are met and stock levels maintained. The role will be split across two key areas:

 

CONTROL Component Printing

• Operate a pad printer to produce CONTROL components for stock.
  
  
• Maintain adequate printed stock to meet sales order demands.
  
  
• Document and update all print designs as required.
  
  
• Carry out quality checks and report any issues to the Quality Manager or Team Leader.
  
  
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures.
  
  
• Monitor levels of inks and cleaning solutions.
  
  

• Use a heat press and graphics software to apply customer designs to products.
  
  
• Accurately plot, weed, and prepare designs.
  
  
• Ensure all files are correctly saved and organised.
  
  
• Keep track of transfer paper stock.
  
  

• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Outlook).
  
  
• Manual dexterity and good practical ability essential.
  
  
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  
  
• Ability to multitask and manage workload effectively.
  
  
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
  
  
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
  
  
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
  
  
• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is desirable.
  
  
• Must be able to reliably commute to Cowes, Isle of Wight.
