About the Role
Pertemps Daventry seeks a Production Operative for a permanent, full-time post in Daventry. Working 39 hours weekly—Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm, Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm—the role pays £12.90 hourly. The RoleWorking as part of a busy production team, you will be responsible for the manufacture and assembly of abrasive products, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality and accuracy. The successful candidate will receive training across a variety of production processes and machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacturing coated abrasive belts
- Cutting materials to length
- Joint preparation, assembly and pressing
- Slitting materials to required widths
- Packing finished products
- Carrying out quality control inspections
- Operating production machinery safely and efficiently
- Supporting additional production duties as required
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area.
- Previous experience operating machinery
- Experience working within a manufacturing or factory environment
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Understanding of quality control procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible, reliable and willing to learn
- Able to work under pressure when required.
