Production Operative - Moulding

Moulding Operative
We''re working with a leading marine manufacturer that is looking to add a Moulding Operative to its production team. This is a hands-on role supporting the manufacture of high-quality composite boats, with a focus on producing and preparing moulded components to meet production schedules and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the assembly, finishing and inspection of moulded composite parts.
  
  
• Prepare mouldings for the next stages of production.
  
  
• Support the bonding and assembly of composite boat structures.
  
  
• Carry out cutting, grinding and flow coating to achieve a high-quality finish.
  
  
• Build sub-assemblies as required.
  
  
• Support other areas of the manufacturing process when needed.
  
  
• Assist in the training and development of new production operatives where appropriate.
  
  
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
  
  
• Work in accordance with all health and safety procedures and company policies.
  
  
• Undertake any additional duties required to support the production team.
  
  

About You We''re looking for someone who is practical, reliable and takes pride in producing quality work.

Ideally, you''ll have:

• At least 2 years'' experience in a composite, manufacturing or engineering environment, or an Engineering BTEC qualification with relevant industry experience.
  
  
• Experience using workshop hand and power tools.
  
  
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high workmanship standards.
  
  
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  
  
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  
  
• A positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
  
  
• The ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing production demands.
