An established manufacturing business is seeking a Production Operative to join its Final Processing Department on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on position within a regulated engineering environment, focused on surface preparation and inspection of precision castings. Full training will be provided, including the opportunity to achieve an internationally recognised qualification. This opportunity would suit someone with manufacturing or engineering experience who takes pride in quality, works methodically, and is comfortable following structured processes and technical specifications. The role: The position covers two core processes within final processing: Preparing castings through a controlled chemical process to ensure components are ready for inspection. Processing castings using dye inspection techniques to identify surface defects and confirm compliance with customer specifications. You will be working to strict standards, processing parts through chemical tanks, controlled rinsing and drying cycles, developer application, and detailed inspection against technical drawings and requirements.
