Production Operative

Manpower are currently recruiting for a Processing Operative to join a busy recycling facility. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, with the potential for an immediate start for the right candidate.

Location

• Site location requires own or reliable transport

Shift Pattern

• Monday - Friday (6am-2pm/ 3pm-11pm on rotation)
• 8-hour shifts
• Shift-based work, which may include weekends

Pay Rate

• £13.04ph

Key Responsibilities

• Operating machinery to process lead/ acid safely and efficiently
• Carrying out manual handling and lifting of heavy materials
• Following all start-up and shutdown procedures for equipment
• Ensuring correct use of PPE at all times
• Assisting with loading/unloading materials where required
• Completing all necessary paperwork and records accurately

What We''re Looking For
Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse, recycling, or industrial environment

Skills

• Strong awareness of health andamp; safety practices

• Ability to work in a physically demanding role
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn new machinery and processes
• Willingness to work with hazardous and corrosive materials

• Happy working in a high-temperature environment
• Mandatory use of specialist PPE, including protective suits and respiratory equipment
