About the Role
Manpower UK is seeking a Production Operative for a client based in Musselburgh. This temporary role, paying up to £12.71 per hour, involves working Monday to Friday on a dayshift pattern of 07:30 to 16:00, with a 15:00 finish on Fridays. The position offers weekly pay and access to Manpower rewards, training, and benefit schemes. Key responsibilities include checking products for quality on the production line, removing defective items, keeping machines supplied with packaging materials and labels, packing food products, cleaning equipment, and completing general warehousing duties. This assignment may lead to a longer-term booking for the right candidate based on performance and experience.
Manpower is recruiting for a Production Operative to work for our client, based in Musselburgh. You will work within the factory on the production line packing food products, cleaning equipment and completing some general warehousing duties.

Duties involved
As a Production Operative, your main responsibilities will include:
- Checking products for quality on the production line and removing defective items
- Keeping machines supplied with packaging materials and labels
- Loading products to pallets for distribution
- Picking and Packing orders
- May be some heavy lifting involved loading products onto pallets
- Tidying and general housekeeping of Warehouse and Production areas
The ideal candidate will have:
* Good observational skills to spot defective products
* Patience to carry out repetitive tasks
* The ability to work quickly to meet production targets
* Good team working skills and the ability to work on your own
* The ability to follow strict health and safety guidelines and quality procedures
All applicants ideally must have at least 6 months experience in a food production or warehousing position.
