Position: Temporary Scientific Production Operative
Contract Duration: 6 months.
Location: Didcot, Milton Park
Payrate: £16.27
Shift Pattern: Rotational shifts following a consistent schedule of 4-day shifts, 4 days off, 4-night shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate pilot plant equipment (comprehensive training provided)
- Assemble and disassemble plant equipment for maintenance and troubleshooting (training provided)
- Monitor production processes and diagnose faults.
- Handle and prepare raw materials and products to required standards.
- Maintain high quality standards throughout production.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and actively promote a safety-first culture.
- Participate as a member of the site Emergency Response Team
- Always maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
Candidate Requirements:
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Minimum qualification of NVQ/BTEC or equivalent in a technical or scientific discipline
- Exceptional attention to detail with experience following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Comfortable working with tools and performing assembly/disassembly tasks.
- Capable of manual handling within Health and Safety Executive (HSE) limits: 25kg for men, 16kg for women
- Able to perform physically demanding tasks while wearing respiratory protection.
- Flexible to work shifts and overtime as required (with agreement)
