Production Operative (Tufting) - Ramsbottom The Cormar Carpet Company is an award-winning, British, family-run business and has been making carpets since 1956 at our two mills in Lancashire. We make and deliver our carpets from our distribution sites in Hemel Hempstead and Bury to over 3,000 Cormar retailers across the UK and Ireland, using our own fleet of vehicles. Main Duties: Contribute to the effective running of Cormar''s tufting operation. Daily duties include yarn creeling, splicing, and other duties as from time to time directed by the Operations Supervisors / Line Manager. This may include but not be limited to recycling, baling, general housekeeping, running the yarn winding machines, yarn stripping machines, etc. Job Involves: Mobility for full shift, bending, lifting moderate weights, repeatedly twisting, climbing up and down steps repeatedly. Operating basic machinery such as winders, floor cleaners, yarn stripping machines but not Tufting machines.
