Production Operative / Manufacturing Operative

Location: Carlisle
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
Salary: Competitive, with enhanced overtime rates
Type: Permanent

Interaction Recruitment are delighted to be working on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing business in Carlisle, who are looking to recruit a Production Operative / Manufacturing Operative to join their conveying manufacturing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their manufacturing skills, with full training provided on specialist machinery.

Working as part of the production team, you will be responsible for assembling parts and products while operating a range of manufacturing machinery and equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating a Laser Cutting Machine – full training provided.
• Operating a Turret Punch – full training provided.
• Operating a pedestal drill.
• Operating a band saw.
• Operating a thread tapping machine.
• Deburring and cleaning components.
• Ensuring all work is completed to the required quality standards.
• Maintaining a safety-first approach at all times.
• Supporting a continuous improvement culture across the production environment.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience within a manufacturing or production environment, although candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn will be considered.

You will need:

• A positive, hands-on approach to production work.
• A continuous improvement mindset.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• An FLT licence would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
