We are seeking a motivated and physically capable Production Operative specializing in heavy lifting and sheet metal work. Duties

• Safely lift, move, and position heavy sheets of metal using appropriate manual or powered tools
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and tooling to cut, shape, grind, and finish sheet metal components
• Assist with fabrication tasks such as welding, grinding, and assembling metal parts according to specifications
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet design standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
• Follow safety protocols at all times during heavy lifting, fabrication, and assembly tasks

Qualifications

• Experience with fabrication processes including grinding, welding, or sheet metal work is preferred
• Mechanical knowledge or background in working with hand tools and tooling
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and consistently throughout shifts
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
• Familiarity with assembly processes involving sheet metal components
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills
