Production Operative

Production SupervisorGrantham, Full Time, Permanent£Competitive DOEOur Grantham based Client is looking to appoint a Production Operative on a full time, permanent basis. The Production Operative will be based within the Operations team and will be responsible for organising workflow and ensuring the hands on management of a busy workshop. This role offers an excellent opportunity for developing a career in a progressive, global company.The RoleThe main areas of responsibility for the Production Operative will include the following:Assisting in the manufacture of a range of products from technical drawings and schematics.Working as part a small team.Hands on duties such as include welding, cutting, drilling, assembly work, cable crimping and some wiring.Operating and training other users in the use of production equipment.Operating lifting equipment.Collecting and delivering materials if required, forklift license would be desirable.Occasional property maintenance maybe required.Ensuring all work processes are completed to a high standard including keeping the workshop clean to avoid hazards and maintaining the company''s health and safety and quality guidelines.The CandidateThe successful Production Operative will be able to demonstrate:Previous similar experience.Proven experience in MIG welding desirable.Sling and lifting experience desirable.Ability to read and understand technical drawings.Experience using grinders, cutting equipment and general fabrication tools.Strong ..... full job details .....
