Production Operative

Our client is a longstanding manufacturing business based in Hull and they are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operative to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is working on site within varying multi skilled manufacturing areas of the business.Your job will be to carry out production activities and operate a range of process plant and equipment including mechanical handling equipment such as Over head cranes, Counter balance forklift trucks, Shovel loaders and Backhoe type excavators at a manufacturing processing plant. Work in full compliance with all Company procedures related to Plant, Equipment, Process, Chemical and Occupational Safety. To correctly use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), safety equipment and work wear deemed necessary for the job or task. Understand ''5s'' principles of housekeeping and workplace organization - participate fully in housekeeping audits and action plans. Ensure that any safety related incidents, accidents, environmental breaches, hazardous conditions or near-misses are reported immediately to the shift supervisor. Participate fully in incident or accident investigations as required. Participate fully in SWP, Risk and COSHH consultation meetings as and when required. Understand and undertake duties or responsibilities required under the Site Emergency Procedure (for example - First Aid or Fire Marshalling duties).
