Production Operative

The production operative position is working with a market leading, international multi-million-pound turnover engineering business based in Huddersfield.This opportunity offers both personal and career development within a market leading engineering group.

This is a permeant opportunity for a production operative to join a forward thinking, industry leader.

The brand-new purpose built, state of art manufacturing facility is based in Huddersfield, making it accessible from surrounding towns and cities such as; Elland, Halifax, Bradford, Leeds and Wakefield.

Key Responsibilities of the Production Operative

• Operate extrusion machinery to manufacture hoses from PVC, Polyurethane and other materials.
• Carry out hose degreasing, testing and reeling operations to meet quality standards.
• Complete quality checks and production documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, including the correct use of PPE and 5S standards.
• Monitor equipment performance, perform routine safety checks and report faults or maintenance issues promptly.
• Work as part of the production team to achieve output targets, customer deadlines and continuous improvement objectives.

Working Hours of the Production Operative

• Monday-Thursday: 08:30-16:00
• Friday: 08:00-13:45

• Experience in a manufacturing, production, extrusion or engineering environment.
• A strong commitment to quality, safety and following procedures.
• The ability to carry out manual handling duties and work in a hands-on production role.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new processes quickly.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with a positive, flexible attitude.
• Experience with plastic extrusion, injection moulding, or similar processes.

In Return, the Production Operative will receive:

• Salary: -13.45 Per Hour
• Early finish on a Friday.
