We're Hiring: Production Operatives (Hot End)

Shifts run between 10:00 hours and 19:00 hours, working 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (Monday to Friday ).

We are a successful producer of haggis, vegetarian haggis and black pudding products, widely available throughout the year and for all of those special occasions too. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join Macsween Ltd., one of Scotland’s best known and loved food brands!  We are looking for dedicated Production Operatives to join our Manufacturing team at our facility in Loanhead, Edinburgh.

About the Role:
As a Production Operative, you’ll play a vital role in the daily operations of our hot end operation department, helping us deliver high-quality products to customers across Scotland and beyond. Whether you're handling raw materials, operating machinery, or ensuring top-tier quality standards, your contribution will help keep our production lines running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery and follow assembly procedures to manufacture a range of meat products
• Perform regular quality checks to ensure consistency and standards
• Handle raw materials, monitor inventory, and load production lines
• Maintain accurate records for traceability and quality assurance
• Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety in the workplace
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets
• Report equipment issues and support basic troubleshooting

• Willingness to work in a fast-paced food production environment
• Flexibility to work across different areas of manufacturing 
• Previous experience in food production is beneficial, but not essential – full training provided
