We are seeking, on behalf of our esteemed client, a Production Operative to join their existing team. The Glass Toughener will be responsible for toughening the glass product using a machine. The ideal candidate will have experience working with glass.

• Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping
• Assemble frames out of spacer bars, ready to be sealed on to double glazed windows
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
• Marking out dimensions using patterns
• Marking out dimensions using patterns, scribing around the pattern or straight edge using cutting tools
• Smoothing out rough edges with a belt sander
• Work in accordance with process procedures, work order instructions, drawings, and other production documents
• Ability to follow the standard operating procedures in place to maintain safety and quality
• Maintain equipment.
• Maintain a safe, organised, and clean work area
• Ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements
• Physically fit (this does require medium to heavy manual labour)
