Night Shift Production Operative (Launceston)

Are you a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with a background in production or manufacturing? Do you prioritise safety and thrive in a busy team environment? We''re looking for a dedicated Night Shift Production Operative to join our team in Launceston.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience, but we also provide comprehensive training. You''ll be part of the team at DS Smith Packaging on a three-month contract with the potential for extension.

Key Information

• Location: Hurdon Road, Launceston, PL15 9HN

• Job Type: Full-time, contractual (3 months with potential for extension)

• Pay:

  • -16.41 per hour for weekends (up to 37.5 hours)

  • -24.62 per hour for overtime (after 8 hours a day or on Saturdays)

• Shifts:

  • Weekday Nights: Monday - Thursday (10pm - 6am) and Friday (4pm - 9pm)

  • Weekend Nights: Friday - Saturday (9pm - 6am) and Sunday (6pm - 6am)

• Start Date: ASAP, subject to interview and on boarding checks

What You''ll Be Doing

• Operating machinery and equipment in a busy production environment.

• Following Standard Safe Operating Procedures (SSOW) and adhering to all UK Health and Safety legislation.

• Performing routine checks and basic maintenance on machinery to ensure smooth operation.

Who We''re Looking For

• Someone with a driving license and access to their own vehicle is essential due to the location and shift times.

• Experience in a production or manufacturing setting.

• A strong understanding of UK Health and Safety legislation and SSOW.
