About the Role
An established fabrication and sheetmetal company in Nelson, Lancashire, is seeking a Production MIG Welder to join its small fabrication team on a full-time, permanent basis. The role offers a starting rate of £15-16 per hour. Candidates must have proven MIG manufacturing experience, producing both small and large fabrications to an accurate standard. Responsibilities include laying out and marking dimensions, reference lines, and safely using power tools such as grinders, pistol drills, and tapping drills. Physical fitness is required. This position is suitable for someone who can work independently to a high standard within a supportive team environment.

The Company:
Established in 2003, this family run Group employs approximately 35 employees. Their teams provide an all-round design, laser, fold, and fabrication service to a broad customer base.
Due to continued growth and winning some long-term contracts they are looking for Production Welders to join a small friendly Fabrication team.
Role
PRODUCTION WELDER
• Must have MIG manufacturing experience.
• Be physically fit
• Have experience of producing small and large fabrications to an accurate standard
• Ability to lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines to a high standard
• Safe use of power tools e.g., grinder, pistol drill, tapping drill
• Ability to work to a production pace within a factory setting
• There may be some JIG work to help improve production efficiency
• Ability to communicate, ask questions and discuss any issues which may cause production delays
• Update computer records and complete timesheets
They are looking for a helpful individual with experience in production welding.
Working Hours:
• Monday – Thursday 8:00am - 16:30
• Friday 8:00am – 14:00
• Overtime Available.
• Starting Rate £15-16 per hour
• 30 Days Leave (+1 After 5 years)
