Production Manager

Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our client in Somerset who is actively looking to recruit a Production Shift Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.
 
What you will be doing:
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of production, ensuring the operation delivers safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of quality, food safety and hygiene.

• Leading and developing the production team.
• Planning and managing production to meet targets and budgets.
• Monitoring production performance, yields, waste and efficiency.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, HACCP, GMP and hygiene.
• Managing production processes from milk intake through to packing.
• Driving continuous improvement and reducing waste and downtime.
• Working closely with Technical, Engineering and other departments.
• Managing performance, training and development within the production team.
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures and audit requirements.

 
What you will need to succeed:
You will ideally have:

• Proven experience in a Production Management or senior production role within food/dairy manufacturing.
• Experience leading and developing production teams.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
