Our manufacturing client based in Rochester, Kent is seeking an experienced Production Manager with a passion for Lean principles and continuous improvement Salary: disclosed on initial conversation Location: Rochester, Kent Position Type: Full-time, Permanent Reporting to: Managing Director Hours: core factory hours, 35 hours pw Benefits include: 28 days leave + BH, BUPA medical cover, use of pool car, This exciting role will take ownership of the production process, driving efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will be a proactive leader who thrives on building high-performing, multi-skilled teams and implementing streamlined systems. Production Manager key responsibilities: Lean Implementation: Apply simple Lean principles to streamline production processes, reduce inventory costs, and eliminate waste. Continuous Improvement: Identify operational areas for improvement, develop practical solutions, and closely monitor the effectiveness of changes. Team Leadership: Manage, train, and coach Production Cell Leads and their teams, fostering a positive, multi-skilled, and efficient workforce. Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key production metrics to ensure all output, quality, and dispatch targets are consistently met. Health and Safety: Maintain exceptionally high safety standards, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and correct PPE usage.
