Production Manager

Production Manager: Our client, a north of Manchester based manufacturer, seek to appoint a Production Manager for their fast paced time sensitive production site. Managing a large shift based team of operators and supervisors the successful Production Manager will retain close ties with the shop floor, leading a team to meet daily KPI''s, and have experience of a time sensitive, lean focused, labour intensive manufacturing environment.Although the majority of staff are permanent at peak times your team may be strengthened with the addition of contract / agency staff. It would be beneficial for the Production Manager to have had had previous experience of managing temporary staff with the issues this can bring up.Previous work experience in a lean manufacturing environment would be advantageous, as would knowledge of continuous improvement. The Production Manager ultimately chosen for this role can come from a wide range of backgrounds.
