Production Manager

Position: Production ManagerLocation: Leeds, Greater LeedsSalary: 50-60K, commensurate with experienceWe are currently recruiting for a Production Manager to join our client''s growing team in Leeds. This will be a ''hands-on'' role in addition to managing the department and heading up the team responsible for production and assembly.Key Responsibilities:Managing department staff spread over 4 sub departments - Laminators, Finishers, Trimmers and AssemblyScheduling work for each department to coincide with the production schedule and aftersalesManaging the quantity and regularity of parts produced by external suppliers ensuring quality is of a desired levelManaging external suppliers - External stock, lead times and costingsCommunicating and resolving quality issues as they ariseBeing responsible for reviewing and ordering stock, raw materials and equipment in good time for required workEnsuring stock is correctly logged throughout the systemEnsuring records are kept up to dateFollowing established safety proceduresFollowing established build processesKeeping to an established level of component cleanlinessMaintaining a good level of cleanliness within the department.Monitoring and planning for future productionMaintaining realistic time managementYou will have:Experience of laminating, trimming and finishing partsWorking with fibre glass, GRP or carbon compositesPrevious production line and managerial experienceA firm appreciation of stock control and the upmost importance ..... full job details .....
