Production Manager

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead daily operations in a manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for driving safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement across all production activities. This is an organisation that has a mechanical assembly process with a small machine shop. It is important that you have operated with small teams that have high attention to detail across assembly and NPD. Responsibilities Health and Safety Ensure full compliance with health and safety standards. Report and investigate incidents; lead Toolbox Talks. Team Leadership Promote accountability and teamwork. Lead by example in attendance, discipline, and workplace standards. Support, coach, and review performance of team members. Production and Process Improvement Meet daily output and quality targets through strong floor presence. Set and track KPIs for production performance. Manage staffing, scheduling, and workloads efficiently. Lead lean initiatives and drive continuous improvement. Balance production lines and eliminate process bottlenecks. Quality Assurance Monitor product quality and reduce rework. Enforce raw material and in-process quality checks. Improve Right First Time (RFT) performance and product yield. Training and Development Keep training records and SOPs updated. Identify training needs and run effective inductions. Skills Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
