Production Manager (Eng Background)

We are seeking an experiienced Production Manager who is from an engineering backgroound: Objective: Manage the operation to make product: Right First Time. On Time. Cost Effectively. (Targets to be set and agreed) This does not include purchasing and supply chain activities To do this the Ops Mngr will need to: Set up a series of KPIs to understand how well they are currently performing. Key measures will include: Safety; Quality; Cost; Delivery; People Manage Health and Safety understand how they need to comply with HandS standards and ensure all know what s required of them to meet these standards and have the necessary, skills and equipment to do so. Manage Quality: Have identified the standards of work, product, service the Operation needs to perform at Have ensured these standards are clearly communicated and understood by all (SOPs, QMS etc) Be measuring issues of non-conformance Be improving quality Manage Cost: Have agreed times (or estimates) for how long things will take Ensure times / estimates are used in quotations for work Operate within a budget Organises operational capacity to meet demand cost effectively in line with agreed times / estimates.
