Production Manager

Most job ads for Production Managers sound the same. Lots of buzzwords. Not much honesty.

This isn’t one of those.

This role is about leading production in a business where quality and speed aren’t “nice to haves” — they’re non-negotiable. It’s complex, it’s multi-stage, and it needs someone who’s more than just a scheduler with a loud voice.

You’ll be the person who makes sure operations don’t just tick over — they improve.

What you’ll be doing

• Running Production, Process and Dispensary teams, making sure everything runs safely, smoothly and on time.

• Keeping quality and compliance standards consistently high — not just when audits are looming.

• Finding smarter, leaner ways of working and making them stick.

• Creating a culture where people are motivated to do their best, not just meet the bare minimum.

• Keeping a close handle on costs, productivity and profitability.

• Working across departments to keep customers happy and the wider operation joined up.

What you’ll need

• Solid experience in FMCG or multi-stage manufacturing.

• A track record of leading teams in regulated environments (BRC, ISO, or similar).

• Leadership skills that inspire people to follow you — not just because your job title says so.

• Calm under pressure, pragmatic, and happy to step in where needed.

• Commercial awareness — because decisions on the floor affect the bottom line.
