Production Manager

Production Manager - 6-month FT Contract - Glamorgan (Hybrid) - up to -55,000 Pro Rata + Benefits - Ref 1941

I am currently recruiting for a Production Manager to work for a cutting-edge technology company based in Glamorgan. Salary up to -55,000 + Benefits.

The organisation has been in operation for many years and are worldwide leaders within the design, development, and manufacture of their highly intelligent products. As a business they turnover north of -85m, employ 500 people and are constantly evolving their legacy products as well as designing and developing new innovative products to bring to market.

In line with demand for their products and to support the business with their growth plans they have the need to appoint another Production Manager on a 6-month FT contract basis.

In this role as a Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all KPI''s are met from your team, with a specific focus on ensuring production output demand is met or exceeded. You will take ownership of the team and be expected to drive them forwards whilst developing them professionally. You will have 14 direct reports consisting of Team Leaders and Operational Leaders, with 100 people in total on shift mainly consisting of operators. There will be a big focus on Continuous Improvement and making the necessary process improvements. You will start on days which is typically 7-4pm Monday - Friday and then it will go to early and lates until the end of November which will be 7-4pm Monday - Friday then 2-11 Monday-Friday. December onwards will be a single shift which is 6-2 Monday-Friday.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Production Manager, Shift Manager, Manufacturing Manager or similar
• Experience overseeing a minimum of 50 people
• Experience in a highly regulated environment (Aerospace, Automotive, Medical or Pharmaceutical)
• Experience with Continuous Improvement

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience with an MRP (Ideally SAP)
• 6 Sigma
