Production / Machine OperatorLocation: Musselburgh, EH21 6SYSalary: £28K £30K per annum, inclusive of shift allowance!Contract: Full time, PermanentWe are an established and growing manufacturer of flexible food packaging, supplying products to some of the UK s best-known food and hospitality brands.We are recruiting for a Production / Machine Operator to join us on a full time, permanent basis.This is a key role where you will set up machines to start a production cycle, control and adjust the machine settings and feed raw material or parts into semi-automated machines.Your goal is to ensure that production procedures are carried out smoothly to maximise efficiency and profits whilst maintaining a safe operating environment at all times.In addition to this you will be responsible for:Setting up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycleControlling and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)Feeding raw material or parts to semi-automated machinesInspecting parts with precision and measuring toolsTesting operation of machines periodicallyFixing issues that might occur during the shiftChecking output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flawsKeeping records of approved and defective units or final productsMaintaining activity logsUsing forklift to move raw materials, semi-processed and finished goods.Cleaning of production area s to a high standard.In order to be successful in this role you must have:Proven experience as a machine operator.Working ..... full job details .....
