About the Role
Based in Eydon, this full-time Production Machine Operative position offers £26,609 per annum within a permanent manufacturing setting. Working 39 hours weekly, the pattern runs Monday to Thursday, 08:30 to 17:00, finishing at 16:00 on Fridays. Duties include setting up, calibrating and running production equipment, plus cutting, slitting, pressing and assembling abrasive goods. The successful candidate will monitor machinery performance, make adjustments where required, and uphold strict standards of quality, efficiency and safety. Applicants should demonstrate mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and the ability to work reliably within a team. Previous experience in a similar production or assembly role would prove advantageous.

- Monday to Thursday: 08:30am - 5:00pm
- Friday: 08:30am - 4:00pm
As a Production Machine Operative, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining production machinery, assembling abrasive products, and ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting up, calibrating and operating production machinery
- Cutting, slitting, pressing and assembling products
- Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments where required
- Carrying out quality inspections and completing production records
- Performing routine machine maintenance and cleaning
- Packing finished products ready for dispatch
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Working closely with colleagues to achieve production targets and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow technical instructions and production documentation
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience would be advantageous
- Basic mechanical aptitude is desirable.
