Production Leader (Trainee GM)

A well-established business is looking for a Production Leader to take responsibility for ensuring the efficient and safe day-to-day running within your area. 

Along with a salary of up to £45,000 per annum, you will also receive:

What you’ll be doing as Production Leader:
You will lead and motivate your team to deliver consistent operational performance, ensuring productivity, quality, and hygiene standards are met while driving continuous improvement and supporting company objectives.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead, motivate and manage a team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
- Ensure schedules are met efficiently, maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and hygiene.
- Monitor workflow, identify potential bottlenecks, and take proactive steps to resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and promote a safe working environment for all employees.
- Support team training, coaching, and development to enhance performance and engagement.
- Work collaboratively with Maintenance, Engineering, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs), implementing corrective actions where required.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Ensure stock and resource levels are maintained to meet production demands.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and respect within the production area.

We’re looking for a Production Leader with:

- Proven experience in a leadership role within production, warehouse, FMCG or logistics operations.
- Strong people management and communication skills, with the ability to lead by example.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety, quality, and hygiene standards in an industrial setting.
- Ability to analyse production data and identify areas for improvement.
- IT literate, with working knowledge of MS Office and production management systems.
- Continuous improvement mindset and experience of implementing process efficiencies.
