About the Role
Pertemps Daventry seeks Production, Factory And Assembly Supervisors for a permanent, full-time post in Daventry. Pay is £12.90 hourly, working 39 hours weekly: Monday to Thursday 8:30am until 5:00pm, Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm. The successful applicant oversees manufacture and assembly of abrasive goods, cutting materials to length and producing coated abrasive belts, maintaining rigorous quality and accuracy throughout. Full training across machinery and processes is given, with genuine long-term progression available. Supervisory capability, attention to detail, and the ability to guide a busy production team are essential. Prior manufacturing experience would prove beneficial.

The RoleWorking as part of a busy production team, you will be responsible for the manufacture and assembly of abrasive products, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality and accuracy. The successful candidate will receive training across a variety of production processes and machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacturing coated abrasive belts
- Cutting materials to length
- Joint preparation, assembly and pressing
- Slitting materials to required widths
- Packing finished products
- Carrying out quality control inspections
- Operating production machinery safely and efficiently
- Supporting additional production duties as required
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area.
- Previous experience operating machinery
- Experience working within a manufacturing or factory environment
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Understanding of quality control procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible, reliable and willing to learn
- Able to work under pressure when required.
