Production Engineer

Job Title: Production Engineer Type: Permanent Location: Newark Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday (office / site-based) Company Overview: Join a leading electronics manufacturer, providing innovative solutions for major global organisations across industries such as marine, medical, aerospace, defence, and industrial automation. The company is currently experiencing significant growth and requires a skilled Production Engineer to support the optimisation and improvement of manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities: Analyse and improve existing production processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensure smooth transition from design to manufacturing. Identify and resolve production issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and risk assessments. Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, Kaizen, and 5S. Provide technical engineering support to production teams on the shop floor. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, throughput, and reliability. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards in all processes. Work closely with design, quality, and maintenance teams to optimise equipment performance.
