Production Engineer

Job Title: Production Engineer Location: Cramlington Salary: (phone number removed)This is a varied, hands-on role with a 50/50 split between production engineering and maintenance activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations, improving production efficiency, and ensuring machinery and equipment are maintained to minimise downtime.Key Responsibilities: Production EngineeringSupport and improve day-to-day manufacturing processesDrive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce wasteInvestigate production issues and implement corrective actionsSupport process optimisation, tooling improvements, and production line performanceWork closely with production and quality teams to achieve operational targetsMaintenance EngineeringCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activitiesRespond to machine breakdowns and conduct fault-finding activitiesPerform mechanical and electrical repairs on manufacturing equipmentReduce downtime through effective troubleshooting and preventative measuresAssist with machinery installation, upgrades, and commissioningCandidate RequirementsPrevious experience within a manufacturing environmentStrong maintenance engineering and fault-finding experienceMechanical and/or electrical engineering backgroundExperience supporting production and process improvement activitiesGood understanding of health and safety within manufacturingAbility to work independently and as part of a ..... full job details .....
