About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or Process Engineer to support the manufacture of high-quality products by translating customer requirements into efficient, cost-effective, and repeatable production processes.

This is a varied role that combines engineering, production support, quality documentation, tooling design, and continuous improvement. Working closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Customer Service, and external suppliers, you will play a key role in ensuring customer requirements are successfully converted into robust manufacturing processes and documentation.

Commutable from Leicester, Rugby, Coventry, Corby, Market Harborough, Kettering, Corby and Nuneaton.

Key Responsibilities: Production Engineer

• Customer Order & Engineering Support – Review customer orders, clarify technical requirements and support New Order Review meetings to ensure projects are accurately defined and ready for production.
• Engineering Data & ERP Management – Create and maintain item numbers, BOMs, manufacturing routings, product drawings and accurate costing information within the ERP/MRP system.
• Tooling & Manufacturing Support – Design and develop tooling, jigs, fixtures and packaging solutions, while providing day-to-day engineering support to the manufacturing team.
• Technical & Quality Documentation – Prepare and maintain engineering and quality documentation, including FAI reports, Acceptance Test Reports, environmental test records and product quality files.
• Engineering Change Control – Support engineering change reviews and ensure changes are accurately implemented across drawings, BOMs, routings, documentation and production instructions.
• Supplier & Stakeholder Management – Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical issues, manage tooling and component requirements, and ensure specifications are met.
• Continuous Improvement – Identify and support opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, cost, throughput and standardisation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with Manufacturing, Production, Supply Chain, Quality and Customer Service teams to resolve issues and ensure customer requirements are delivered effectively.

What We''re Looking For - Manufacturing Engineer

• Engineering qualification or equivalent practical engineering experience.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or production engineering environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, BOM creation, and manufacturing routings.
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation control.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement and process optimisation.
