Production Engineer

Planet Recruitment are working with a well-established and innovative manufacturing organisation in Abingdon who are seeking an experienced Production Engineering Team Leader to join their team.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineering professional to lead a Production Engineering department, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and provide technical support across multiple business functions.The RoleAs the Production Engineering Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Production Engineering team, ensuring workloads are effectively prioritised and supporting operational and engineering objectives across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the daily activities of the Production Engineering team.Define team priorities and allocate workloads effectively.Collaborate with Production teams to resolve day-to-day manufacturing issues.Investigate production line rejects and identify root causes.Support change control processes and software system testing.Drive continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and cost-reduction initiatives.Support testing protocols and validation activities for new and revised products.Work alongside Purchasing and Sourcing teams on sample approvals and supplier validation activities.Assist with new supplier and product verification activities, including occasional supplier visits where required.Train, mentor and develop team members to enhance skills and performance.Provide ..... full job details .....
