Proposals and Production EngineerScunthorpe Role Overview We are seeking a Proposals and Production Engineer to join a leading engineering business specialising in metallurgical plant solutions. This role is responsible for preparing and costing customer proposals, managing enquiries through to successful delivery, and providing technical and production support throughout the manufacturing process. You will work closely with the Operations Manager, Technical Buyer/Estimator and workshop team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to customer expectations. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cost quotations using SAP and Microsoft Office, ensuring internal approvals are obtainedManage enquiries and customer orders from initial contact through to deliveryMonitor workshop and site job progress, providing updates to stakeholdersLiaise with customers and suppliers regarding pricing, materials, services and outstanding ordersRaise and manage purchase orders in line with company proceduresProvide day-to-day technical and manufacturing support to the workshopMaintain accurate CRM and enquiry recordsSkills and ExperienceExperience within a fabrication or heavy engineering environmentKnowledge of EAF and associated equipment (desirable)Commercial awareness with experience preparing proposals/estimatesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced settingStrong communication skills (written and verbal)IT literate (SAP and MS Office)Willingness to travel ..... full job details .....
