Production Engineer

Production Engineer Location: Bedfordshire Salary: 50,000- 55,000 We are currently looking for someone to join an established engineering and manufacturing business as a Production Engineer, supporting the transition of new and existing products into efficient, repeatable production. Main role overview: Take ownership of manufacturing and test processes across electronics and electromechanical products, ensuring quality, reliability, cost and delivery targets are achieved. Lead and improve New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, working closely with Engineering to ensure designs are optimised for manufacture and test. Develop and implement effective manufacturing methods, production fixtures, test processes and detailed work instructions. Drive continuous improvement through Lean / Six Sigma principles, process optimisation and data-led performance improvements. Work closely with production teams, suppliers and subcontract manufacturers to resolve issues and improve manufacturing capability. Requirements: Proven experience in Production Engineering within electronics or Electro-Mechanical manufacturing. Strong understanding of NPI, Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) principles. Experience developing manufacturing processes, test methods, fixtures and work instructions. Working knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma and continuous improvement techniques.
