Production EngineerLocation: West SussexSalary: £40,000 to £45,000Contract: Permanent, full-timeAn established specialist engineering and manufacturing business is looking for a Production Engineer to join its team in West Sussex.This is a practical position for someone who enjoys working closely with the shop floor, solving manufacturing problems and improving how technically complex products are produced.The roleWorking closely with Production, Engineering and Quality, you will help develop, improve and standardise manufacturing processes across the business.Your responsibilities will include:Reviewing existing manufacturing processes and identifying improvementsSupporting new products and engineering changes as they move into productionResolving day-to-day manufacturing and process issuesInvestigating recurring problems and supporting root-cause analysisDeveloping work instructions, process documentation and standard operating proceduresImproving production flow, quality, repeatability and efficiencyDesigning or improving tooling, fixtures and manufacturing aidsWorking directly with operators and supervisors to understand practical production challengesSupporting continuous-improvement and cost-reduction projectsWorking alongside Design Engineering and Quality to improve manufacturabilitySupporting trials, validation activity and the introduction of new equipment or processesWhat we are looking forYou will ideally have:Previous experience as a Production Engineer, ..... full job details .....
