Production Engineer

ISQ Recruitment is working with a well-established Norfolk engineering company to recruit a full-time, permanent Production Engineer.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with engineers and shopfloor teams to improve build processes, develop tooling, and help scale production for a growing product range. You’ll see your ideas make a real difference — from reducing setup times to making jobs easier and more efficient.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Help design and introduce jigs, fixtures, and build tooling.
- Improve build sequences and reduce changeover/setup times.
- Work alongside engineers and technicians during build trials.
- Suggest practical improvements for ease of manufacture.
- Assist in creating clear work instructions and process checklists.
- Support sourcing and introducing new tools or small equipment.
- Contribute to lean improvements, workplace layout, and process changes.
- Experience in a production, tooling, or hands-on engineering/technician role.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Comfortable using CAD (Creo experience is a bonus, but not essential).
- Practical, problem-solving mindset and willingness to work with the team to find solutions.
- Own transport for commuting.
- Experience with jigs, fixtures, or basic test rigs.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or process improvement tools (5S, PFMEA).
- Hands-on role with variety and visible impact.
- Learn and develop new skills in tooling, process improvement, and engineering.
- Monday to Friday days – no shifts.
