A rare opportunity has arisen to join the business as a-Production Engineer,-providing engineering support and technical leadership to production, problem solving on machine and process problems, and working closely with maintenance and process engineers to optimise and improve performance.
Key skills
- Ideally educated to degree level in-mechanical or chemical-engineering
- Some post graduate experience as a production engineer, machine optimisation engineer, manufacturing engineer, maintenance engineer or continuous improvement engineer ideally in a-web processing/web handling manufacturing environment-(paper, tissue, fabric, foil, film, coating, plating, lamination) and knowledge of principles such as machine speeds, tensions and temperatures.
- Experienced in machine based manufacturing processes, accustomed to diagnosing machine and process based issues, happy to work closely with maintenance to resolve equipment based problems
- IT and data literate and able to use engineering software to gather and analyse data (OEE, SPC)
- Sound-problem solving-skills, root cause analysis, Pareto analysis techniques
- Able to effectively and successfully engage with internal stakeholders and external suppliers as required
- Great prioritisation skills, methodical, logical and well organised, able to adapt to changing circumstances, and really thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative team player who enjoys working with others in a supportive and close-knit team
