Production Engineer

The Role:We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to support the manufacture and improvement of specialist vehicle solutions.A hands-on role combining production engineering, problem-solving, manufacturing support and mechanical design. The role includes using 2D/3D CAD to design and modify components and assemblies. 40,000 - 45,000 (DOE)Manchester Permanent Full-timeMonday - Friday Day shiftsKey ResponsibilitiesSupport production and workshop teams.Design and modify components using 2D/3D CAD.Produce technical drawings, BOMs and manufacturing documentation.Resolve production issues and improve processes.Support new products, prototypes and engineering changes.Improve quality, efficiency and manufacturability.Candidate RequirementsHNC, HND, Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Automotive Engineering, Product Design or similar.Experience in production, manufacturing or design engineering.Strong 3D CAD skills - SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, AutoCAD, CATIA or similar.Good understanding of manufacturing, fabrication and assembly.Practical problem-solving approach.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Desirable: Automotive/vehicle conversion experience, or experience with brackets, fixtures, tooling or electrical integration.We use generative AI tools to support our candidate screening process.
