Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Production Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering bespoke fabrication projects.

As a Production Design Engineer, you''ll be involved in CAD design, production planning, customer site visits, manufacturing process development and estimating. The Production Design Engineer will work closely with customers to understand project requirements before developing practical engineering solutions.

This Production Design Engineer role offers far more variety than a traditional office-based design position. You''ll regularly visit customers, measure components, solve manufacturing problems and support fabrication teams through production.

The successful Production Design Engineer will enjoy working on bespoke projects where every day presents new engineering challenges. As a Production Design Engineer, you''ll also help plan manufacturing routes and contribute towards quotations by understanding how products will be manufactured.

Skills & Experience

• Production Engineering or Design experience.
• Fabrication and welding knowledge.
• CAD experience.
• Manufacturing planning experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Customer-facing confidence.
• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) considered.
• Graduates with the right attitude encouraged to apply.
