Production Controller

Production Controller Location: Great Yarmouth area
Salary: £28,000 + per annum DOE
Contract: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
 
Hales Group are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Production Controller to join a well-established manufacturing business on a six-month fixed-term contract.
 
Working as part of the planning function, you will play an important role in coordinating production activities, ensuring customer orders are planned effectively, materials are available when required, and production teams have the information they need to meet delivery commitments.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in production control, manufacturing planning, scheduling or MRP who enjoys working in a busy, collaborative manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Process sales orders and manage production requirements through the ERP system
• Run MRP activities and raise Manufacturing Orders
• Produce and distribute relevant shop-floor documentation
• Provide accurate lead times and delivery information to the Sales team
• Monitor order progress and provide production status updates
• Liaise closely with Purchasing to ensure materials are available in line with production requirements
• Support Production teams with planning and scheduling queries
• Attend daily production meetings and action Production Control requirements
• Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Stores and Sales to ensure customer requirements are achieved

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience within Production Control, Production Planning, Manufacturing Planning or Scheduling
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems within a manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail with a methodical and organised approach
• Confident communicating with different departments and stakeholders
• Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues at all levels
• Experience interpreting engineering processes and drawings would be advantageous
• Experience using DC65 would be beneficial, although not essential

Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
• Friday: 8:30am - 2:00pm
• 37.5 hours per week
• Fully office-based
