Production Build Technician

We have a great opportunity to join a manufacturing team in Royston, as a Production Build Technician. You will produce small, high value bioprocess systems to the highest level of efficiency, quality and cost. As a Production Build Technician, you will be part of the production team responsible for the hands-on assembly, wiring or testing of products. You will also work with other internal functions to continuously identify design, process and efficiency improvements.

Your Responsibilities

• Work hands-on as part of the production team to mechanically assemble products
• Assembly may require some wiring and testing of the product
• Follow a defined process accurately
• Work within the Production Engineering team and other internal functions to continuously identify design, process and efficiency improvements
• Ensure that production documentation is correctly recorded and is kept up to date
• Effective communication with the Cell Leader(s) to maintain maximum efficiency of the Cell(s)
• Work as part of the team to ensure work is completed to required timescales, output and quality targets
• Involved in the implementation and maintenance of lean manufacturing philosophies
• Batch release

What will convince us

• Experience of working in a technical manufacturing, production or assembly environment is essential
• Knowledge in mechanical assembly techniques
• Understanding of mechanical fault finding
• Ability to read and understand basic mechanical drawings
• Possess mechanical build skills
• Be able to fit and route wiring harnesses
• Experience of working in a cell-type manufacturing | commissioning | test environment is desirable
